Recently, members from OLA's UK team have paid visits to two leading Chinese new energy enterprises, namely GoodWe and Gotion Group, aiming to strengthen cooperation in the renewable energy sector and explore market opportunities in the UK and Europe.

During the trip, the OLA UK team held a meeting with the General Manager of Gotion Group and his team at the company's location in Hefei, capital of Anhui Province. As one of China's leading innovators in lithium battery and energy storage technology, Gotion Group specializes in the research, production, and system integration of products for electric vehicles and renewable energy applications. Its focus on sustainable power solutions and international expansion demonstrates China's increasingly important role in the global clean energy transition.

At the meeting, both parties discussed the plan to establish a partnership to provide one-stop services for the UK market, which will cover compliance, logistics, and support for renewable energy deployment. Additionally, they explored the feasibility of building a manufacturing facility in the UK. This move is expected to better serve the European market, reduce supply chain costs, and further enhance cooperation in green technology.

The OLA UK team also visited GoodWe's Smart Energy Building in Suzhou. As a top 10 global inverter brand, GoodWe focuses on the R&D, production, and sales of new energy power supply equipment such as grid-tied PV inverters and energy storage inverters. The company has built a full-scenario new energy solution covering residential, commercial & industrial, and ground-mounted power plants, and has also launched innovative solutions like integrated PV-storage-charging systems. Notably, GoodWe's efforts and achievements in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) have left a deep impression on the visiting team.

During the discussion with GoodWe, both sides focused on the cooperation in Sino-UK renewable energy projects. The core of the discussion was to ensure that renewable energy products meet the UK's Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) standards, helping Chinese manufacturers enter the UK market with full compliance and confidence.

It is worth mentioning that the UK government announced recently that the "Future Homes Standard", to be released in autumn 2025, will explicitly require all new residential buildings to be equipped with PV systems. This policy is designed to significantly reduce household energy expenditures and improve national energy security, indicating huge opportunities and potential for the UK's renewable energy market in the future.
